Cutting Your Own Hair

We always recommend that you get your first cut in at a recommend salon for three reasons.

Firstly, they can prepare your scalp, attach the unit and cut in. The first cut is crucial so its best to go with someone experienced.

Secondly, all the salons we recommend will be trained in at least 20 men cuts, whereas a barber will have 4 basic ones.

Thirdly, barbers want you in and out in 15 minutes. A salon will take care and 1 to 2 hours in a cut.

Between cut ins, you could cut your own hair with more care than a barber and save a bit of money for your main cut. All you need are good quality clippers like Wahl for 35 quid - stylists will say they are the best on the market - and a good pair of scissors.

Even better is you can cut every attachment, so every 2 to 4 weeks and your hair is always looking good and never shaggy.
