Can I really do this myself?
Absolutely. There is nothing difficult about this so don't pay silly clinic prices for a hair system. We can advise you on every step, from templates to bonding and from cutting your hair system in to hair care. Most wearers can quickly learn to remove, clean and attach their hair system. It really is that easy!

What is the difference between a hair system and a full cap wig?
We supply both hair systems and full cap wigs. The most obvious difference is the size. A hair system is designed to cover the top of your scalp whereas, a full cap wig will cover the whole hair area including the top, side and back.

What is the difference in a stock system and the custom made system?
Custom made systems are individually designed for you and the options are many. Stock hair pieces come in standard sizes, density and contour. They are also limited on available colours. Also you may have to trim the stock base to match your head shape. The main advantage of a stock system, is if its in stock you will get it fast; ideal for those little emergencies!

Is the hair you use real hair?
Yes. It is 100% human remy hair; one of the highest qualities of hair available.

Will it hurt me in any way?
Its completely pain free. There is no surgery or drugs. The attachment is done by tape or glue, which you can do at home.

How long does a hair system last?
This depends on the care taken. A hair system is at its peak in the first 6-months, but they can last over 12-months with care. Most customers will have two hair systems at anyone time, which will extend the life of each. How often you change your hair system is a personal decision. You can find out more on caring for your hair system here.

How often do I need to clean and attach my hair system?
This depends on your body's chemistry and how active you are. On average you should remove and clean every 2 to 4-weeks.

Should I order one or two hair systems?
You will find not only that the life of each is prolonged, but you have a back up in case of emergencies. You will always have one hair system ready to go.

How much does it cost?
Our custom hair systems start from £ 250 for a topper. For a full cap wig our prices start at £ 350. You can find out more on prices here.

What hairstyles can I have?
Anything is achievable and it is totally down to your personal choice and the system you want. As our hair systems are made from real hair, they can be treated as much as you would you natural hairsuch. You can shampoo, condition, style and cut just like real hair.

How long is the hair length as standard?
As standard 6 inches or 15.2cm. Longer hair is available also up to 28 inches or 71.2cm.

I have an emergency and need express delivery?
For just £ 30 we can arrange priority production and express delivery in 6-weeks. If we have one suitable in stock then it will be sent next day without the extra charge.

Do I need to use tape or glue to attach?
Wearers develop their own preference and methods. Both tape and glue give the same hold. Tape is a little less messy to apply and clean up. I recommend Supertape which will give a bond of between 2 and 4-weeks. Davlyn White or Ghostbond are two popular glues for wearers.

Do I need to shave the area were the hair system will cover?
You need to give your hair system the best conditions. A shaven, clean head will bond better with the system and look and feel more natural. Often the hair you are shaving is wispy and low quality and the new hair fuller and healthy. Don't forget if you want to grow your hair back, it will just grow as normal if left unshaven. There are clip options which mean you can try without shaving.

What payment methods do you accept?
Bank Transfer is the most popular and Paypal.

Do I have to use special hair care products?
The only special product we recommend is a sulphate free shampoo such as Nearly Natural Argan Oil Shampoo, which is available on eBay and Amazon. You can find out more on caring for your hair system here.

Do I have to commit myself to any contracts?
There are no contracts.

What can I do with a hair system?
You may be surprised to learn that you can do almost everything you want to including, but not limited to running, cycling, swimming, showering, sweating and having hot sex.

How long does it take to remove, clean and reattach?
Less than 30-minutes.

When will I receive my new hair system?
Custom made hair systems arrive in 8-weeks depending on demand. Emergency delivery is available for an extra charge of £ 30 and takes about 6-weeks. Stock hair systems take a few days if available.

Can you copy my existing unit?
Yes. You can even specify changes in base material, hair color, hair density etc.

How do I make a template?
Click here for more information on making a template.

How much hair should I include for a colour sample?
2 locks of hair between 1 and 2 inches in length is sufficient.

What density should I go for?
We usually recommend medium-light at most. Ultimately, you need to consider your age and the density of any hair on the side and back of your head. If you need a full cap wig then you only need to consider your age. Men under 40 can do fine with medium-light density. As you mature, you would expect a natural thinning of your hair so this should be taken into consideration to give the most natural look. If you are unsure, just drop us a line and we will be happy to help.

Do you sell partial front systems?
Yes. If the hair at the front hairline (or crown) has receded but the rest of your hair is in good order, then a partial system is an option. Even if your front hair line is in good order but but to enhance it for cosmetic reasons then a partial front is the way to go.

The hair system I want is not offered in your products page?
Contact us at info@ukhairsystems.com and we will get it for you. We have many many different types of base and options available.

Will my hair system arrive cut & styled?
It would be wonderful, but no. Your hair system will arrive in a 6-inch length. It can then be attached and cut in with a style of your choosing.

Do you offer any kind of support?
Yes. We offer full online and telephone support.

Can I get a refund?
Returns are only accepted if the customer advises us within 14-days of their intention to return the item. The return is made within 28-days of the purchase in its original condition and packaging. No returns will be accepted if the item has been cut, damaged or worn. Our decision is final.
