10 Easy Steps To Make A Template


If this is your first time to make a template then the following steps are all you need. Its really easy. Your template does not have to be pinpoint accurate so don't over worry. hair system template for men, toupee, wig

If this is your first attempt then it can take a little bit of getting use to. Its understandable. However, take several attempts and pick your favourite. If all are similar then you are doing something right.

  1. You will need some clingfilm, sellotape, a pair of scissors and a black (permanent) marker.

  2. Tear off enough clingfilm to place on top of your scalp and press down.

  3. It will help to have precut the sellotape into strips, which you stick onto the clingfilm running firstly, in the direction of ear to ear. Next you need to run the sellotape from the front to the back of your head.

  4. Remove the mould from your head and cut away the excess clingfilm. You should be left with a template roughly the size of the area you wish to cover.

  5. Place back on your head. Take your black marker and draw an outline onto the template to mark the exact area you want to cover. You can determind the front hairline by taking 4 fingers and placing it above your eyebrow line. The top of your highest finger should be the start of your hairline. So of your will have an idea of hairline is from existing hair.

  6. Remove from your head and again, using the scissors cut down to size.

  7. Mark the template with a spot for the crown (if you want one). Denote the front with an F and you can use a few of arrows to show the hair direction you like to comb your hair (we confirm this before the final order). If you want a parting, draw a line to denote this otherwise add no other markings.

  8. You can lock in all the markings with a 3rd layer (and if required a 4th layer) of sellotape.

  9. Write your name and the date on a piece of paper and staple it to your template.

  10. Please cut at least 2 locks of your hair and tape them to a sheet of paper with your name on it. This will help us colour match.
